Jaguar Land Rover models get new turbocharged V8 engines
For quite some time, Jaguar and Land Rover have produced some of the auto world’s most astounding models. While the British brands don’t necessarily need help in the innovation department, German manufacturer – BMW – is planning to offer up a 4.0-liter V8 engine. While the new engine should improve upon the already-powerful 4.4-liter V8 currently on the market, it hasn’t been released quite yet. Though that is the case, there are a few speculations on what this could mean for Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) models. Read on for more information on the topic!

Which Land Rover models will get the new V8 engine?
Currently, there’s no saying where the engine would fit into JLR’s lineup. It is expected that certain Jaguar models (ones that are built to offer up big power) will receive the larger engine. Should this be the case, it could improve the horsepower rating of the currently-released models from Jaguar. This deal would not only benefit JLR, since smaller engines are becoming more popular. BMW could utilize its (maybe) partnership with the British brands. Only time will tell, of course. If you’re curious when this deal could possibly be taking place, keep on reading!

When will BMW sell JLR its engine?
There hasn’t been an official announcement regarding the sale, but if the deal goes through, it should be very soon. JLR is working on developing its Inline 3, 4 and 6 engines, so not having to put much work into a V8 would be a monumental leap for the brand.
